Since 2014
Starting from grandpa, dad, and younger brother, the family has always been involved in food-related work. Grandpa was an excellent chef at the consulate. Dad had been a dim sum master for over 50 years and was once the head of dim sum at a famous restaurant. Dad passed on his traditional culinary skills to Ken, who has years of cooking experience and integrates diverse Chinese and Asian food cultures. With a passion for food culture, Ken creates innovative new-style dim sum while preserving traditional nostalgia.
Growing up, I have become quite picky about food because Dad also cooks for us when he comes home from work. His dedication and sensitivity to taste always bring us surprises and enjoyment!

Chau Kee Dim Sum
"Lava French Toast" and "Sesame Prawn Toast" are suggested specialties of a distinctive meal we created in 2014. To preserve the traditional dim sum culture, we insist on using fresh products and offering quality service in collaboration with Hong Kong-style café (cha chaan teng) and many dietary cultures.
“Chau Kee Dim Sum + Cha chaan teng” – Sai Wan store and “Lava Dim Sum” – Tin Hau store are the two restaurants located in Hong Kong.
Ken, who is the owner and chef of Chau Kee. Customers praised him for his famous private home food such as "crispy fried chicken", "Crab sticky rice", "Butter Shrimp", and so on. His father was a well-known dim sum chef at a Chinese Restaurant. Ken invented some new principle of dim sum that focuses on Chinese and Asian culture after learning from his father and gaining a lot of experience at the restaurant. Every year on the second day of the lunar new year, the whole family goes back to the maternal home to have a New Year's Eve dinner together. Dad always makes a corn fish maw soup with rich ingredients. Although it is a simple dish, the warm and satisfying feeling it brings is unforgettable, and we always go back for seconds and thirds...
